Hello. You haven’t heard from me for a while, vis a vis new posts. So I wanted to let you know that I have NOT fallen off the end of the earth.
Among other things, my wife and I have been “house hunting”, including but not limited to: walk-throughs of a LOT of houses, filling out pre-approval paperwork, walking through a lot more houses, filling out more paperwork before making an offer on “The House”, filling out yet more paperwork for counter-offer and the counter-counter-offer, and then once the offer for “The House” was accepted filling out still MORE paperwork and the paperwork that corrects earlier paperwork, and in between all of that arranging inspections, appraisals, gently ram-rodding the Loan company, the Title company, the seller’s RE Agent, …
It’s been a VERY busy couple of months. But we’re not done yet. Because there’s still more paperwork and signings and closings and … and … in the meantime … we start … ugh … packing! And moving! …
See. I really have not forgotten all of you, my faithful followers. I have just been “up to my eyeballs” in “stuff”. Good stuff but stuff. That has kept me away from FromTheRanks. But. I promise, I will get back to the keyboard soon (or at least as soon as possible). By the way, in case you didn’t know it the number of subscribers and visitors is growing … from all over the globe. Thank you for that. I do appreciate it. Please continue to spread the word.
As a brief recitation of up-and-coming posts, watch for:
- The new PMO series — per the “… IT Organization Models” post the title will be “NotesOn: IT Services-PMO …”. I envision at least three in this series.
- Part IV of IT HR series — this one has a working title of “… A Management Style”.
- Then there are some TechNotes on the drawing board, including some “cheat sheets” on Networks, Coding, etc.
- Etc.
There are quite a few more beyond these three examples but this will give you a taste of where I’m going in the fairly near future.
